Although I knew it was for the very best,
On the day I set you free.
But in my heart, I prayed even, even more
For you to come back to me.

Everyday I faked a smile, a laugh,
Behind a mask full of lies.
But once I threw it all away,
There was nothing left to hide.

So please stop making empty promises,
And please stop misleading me.
